We’re Intellis Health LLC, a dedicated medical group practice with a focus on family medicine. At Intellis Health our mission is to support individuals, families, and communities in staying healthy—both physically and mentally. 

We’ve got some exciting news: we’re growing our team! We’re currently looking for a compassionate, full-time Medical Assistant to join us at our East Islip location in Nassau County. 

A little about the role: 

As our new Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our physicians and providing top-notch patient care. Your day-to-day might include: 

  • Taking vital signs and gathering patient history

  • Assisting with biopsies and some minor procedures

  • Drawing blood, doing EKGs, and collecting specimens

  • Communicating clearly with both patients and the medical team
If you’re comfortable with E-Clinical Works EMR, medical Spanish, and have some hands-on clinical experience, that’s a big plus!
 
What we’re looking for:
 
  • Education: High school diploma is a must; some college is a bonus

  • Experience: At least 1 year in a primary care setting as a Medical Assistant

  • Certification: Certified Medical Assistant? Even better!

  • Speaks Spanish (very important!)
  • Is available to work one Saturday a month
  • Is a great communicator and a team player
  • Pays attention to the little things
  • Can juggle multiple tasks and keep things running smoothly
  • Truly cares about patients and anticipates the needs of our physicians
